KIWIE is one of the first Latvian street artists to be known for its unique style, the reruns of the monster “Kiwie.” In his creative work, the artist connects street art with product, graphic and fashion design, creating a new form of contemporary art.
He participated in many international street art festivals. In 2012, an interactive art exhibition called “Steal me!” was organised, in which visitors were invited to follow directions and steal artworks. KIWIE created the largest graffiti wall painting in the Baltic States in 2014. The work, titled “Saule, Perkons, Daugava”, is located on one of the Rigas streets and covers about 800 square metres of wall surface. In 2016, his personal exhibition “MIMIK” was organised in the Riga Art space, which attracted a record number of visitors.
KIWIE’s work, “Scary pet Monster,” is part of Signet Bank’s art collection. The work was created during the COVID-19 pandemic from MATERIAL atypical to KIWIE stylistics – wool.
