Signet Bank supports the exhibition “I’m only streaming” by Marko Mäetamm

Signet Bank supports the Estonian artist’s exhibition “I’m only streaming”, which takes place at Kim? Contemporary Art Centre and interior salon Krassky from 26 August to 8 November. The exhibition presents works created in different techniques that are united by a political or social subtext, as well as the humour inherent in Marko Mäetamm’s work.

Curator Jonathan Watkins says about the exhibition:

The Estonian artist Marko Mäetamm specialises in human frailty. Internationally renowned for his observations on domesticity – the politics of family life (especially his own) – more recently in his work he has been making explicit reference to current affairs in the world at large. [..] True words are spoken in jest. Mäetamm thus brings his wonderfully dry sense of humour to bear on both global awfulness and seeming triviality, encouraging us to consider more closely what it is that motivates our behaviour.

Two lithographic works by Marko Mäetamm have been added to our bank collection – “I Want to Break Free” and “Money” – which now organically complement the interior of the Bank and are a subject for discussion among both our clients and employees.
