Signet Bank provides EUR 4 million in financing to SIA Agro-Kaķenieki for business development

SIA Agro-Kaķenieki, one of the largest crop farming and dairy farming companies in the Dobele Municipality, has received EUR 4 million in financing from Signet Bank to support the company’s further development and strengthen its operations.

SIA Agro-Kaķenieki began operations in 1998 and is currently one of the largest agricultural enterprises in the Zemgale region. Based in Kaķenieki, Annenieki Parish, Dobele Municipality, the company specializes in dairy farming and crop production. Nearly all of its milk production is exported to Lithuania, while its crop production is sold on the Latvian market. Over the years, the company has consistently invested in modernizing its farm and improving production efficiency. Its investments have included the construction and renovation of cattle barns, the construction of a grain dryer and silage storage infrastructure, as well as improvements to the herd through the introduction of high-yield Holstein dairy cows.

SIA Agro-Kaķenieki is an agricultural company primarily engaged in dairy farming and crop production. The company is owned by Vasilijs Pravdivecs, who manages and develops the farm together with his son, Ēriks Pravdivecs.The company manages approximately 2,500 hectares of agricultural land, where it grows grains and rapeseed for sale, as well as feed crops for its livestock. Its herd comprises 1,620 head of cattle, including 900 dairy cows. The company sells approximately 10,000 metric tons of raw milk annually and employs an average of 64 people to support its operations.
