The Latvian National Symphony Orchestra (hereinafter referred to as the LNSO) is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year – a significant milestone for an ensemble that, since 1926, has grown to become one of the cornerstones of Latvian culture and an internationally recognized ambassador of Latvian music. The centennial concert series and the new season’s program demonstrate the LNSO’s ability to both honor its history and boldly move forward.
Signet Bank is proud to continue its partnership with the LNSO during this special anniversary year, supporting the centennial events and the start of the 101st season. We believe that culture is a long-term investment in the development of society – it broadens horizons, strengthens a sense of community, and creates an environment where new ideas and future talents emerge.
It has been and continues to be a great honor for Signet Bank to be part of the LNSO’s centennial year. A centennial is a wonderful milestone that reminds us that outstanding achievements are not built in a single day – they are the result of talent, perseverance, and long-term effort. However, the LNSO’s greatest strength lies not only in its rich history, but in the people who continue to shape this story today. We are delighted to serve as a patron during the 101st season as well, and we wish the orchestra many memorable concerts and artistic achievements, says Ineta Done, Member of the Management Board of Signet Bank.

The LNSO’s centennial program is designed as a special series of celebrations that began on August 8 and continues with spectacular symphonic music events both in Latvia’s regions and at international concert halls. During this anniversary year, audiences can look forward to grand concerts and special collaborative projects, including the now-traditional “LNSO Summer Festival”, which took place this year at the Latgale Embassy “GORS.” The culmination of the centennial celebrations is expected on October 25, marking the conclusion of the anniversary concert series.
In anticipation of its 100th anniversary on September 5, the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra has been celebrating since the beginning of August by performing spectacular and diverse concert programs. And this time, there won’t be just one season-opening concert, because the anniversary concert series has effectively already begun its 101st season, during which we hope to surprise our audience with new artists, long-awaited reunions, and an intriguing repertoire. Have you ever heard symphonic fado? Perhaps you’ll experience it for the first time at the LNSO’s New Year’s Eve concerts, featuring Portuguese conductor Rui Miguel Marques and fado singer Gisela João! Explore the new season’s programs – we look forward to seeing you at the concerts! invites Indra Lūkina, Member of the Management Board of LNSO.
