One of Signet Bank’s goals is to promote overall capital market literacy and educate local entrepreneurs about the advantages of capital market financing in the context of business development, a goal that is already being tackled through Signet Bank’s long-term public project, the “Capital Market Academy.” In alignment with this mission, the bank is proud to support other similar initiatives.
On October 9, in partnership with Signet Bank, the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LTRK) will host the LTRK Zemgale Business Forum titled “The Companies’ Path to the Capital Market.” The forum aims to provide valuable insights to entrepreneurs about the opportunities offered by the capital market, which can be a crucial step toward accessing new funding sources and driving business growth. Participants will have the chance to hear expert presentations, join discussions, and gain deeper insights into the current economic landscape and its future outlook.
Latvian businesses are increasingly realizing that the capital market is not just an advantage for large international corporations but a genuine opportunity for local companies to expand. Accessing new funding sources and a broader investor base can significantly enhance their growth potential. By leveraging the capital market, companies gain flexibility, improve governance, and boost visibility, strengthening their competitiveness both locally and internationally. For Latvian businesses, the capital market could play a decisive role in ensuring sustainable growth,
says Kristiāna Janvare, Head of Investment Banking at Signet Bank and Capital Market Expert.
