It is a true honor for Signet Bank to be part of this landmark year—the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra’s (LNSO) centennial season. This is a special moment in Latvia’s cultural history and a powerful testament that excellence, tradition, and steadfast work create lasting value across centuries.
As an institution, the LNSO has always stood by its fundamental values; whenever we seek partners, we carefully consider the principles that guide their work. Although the LNSO and Signet Bank represent very different fields, we share core aims—pursuing excellence, acting with integrity, and delivering high-quality service. Just as the LNSO offers audiences a rich, artistically accomplished program, Signet Bank is one of Latvia’s leading financial institutions, focused on providing financing to local businesses and thereby fostering the nation’s economy and people’s wellbeing. We are therefore delighted to open our 100th season in partnership with Signet Bank—our patron,
says Indra Lūkina, Director of the LNSO.
For more than a century, the LNSO has been a symbol of Latvia’s professional music—a cultural ambassador whose sound inspires, unites, and moves audiences. The orchestra’s outstanding programs, artistic quality, and ability to reach different generations make it one of the most important institutions in Latvia’s cultural landscape.
The Latvian National Symphony Orchestra is a benchmark of cultural excellence—its artistic achievements and contribution to Latvia’s identity are truly invaluable. At Signet Bank, we see support for culture as essential to a society’s growth and confidence. We believe a strong society flourishes where economic progress stands alongside creativity, beauty, and spiritual enrichment. May this season be filled with sound, emotion, and joy that will inspire generations to come,
emphasizes Ineta Done, Member of the Management Board at Signet Bank.
At the season’s opening, the LNSO Foundation’s annual Excellence Award was presented to clarinetist Mārtiņš Circenis, with a special award given to harpist Ieva Šablovska.
The LNSO’s centennial season promises a rich musical journey—from complex scores and world-renowned soloists to fresh discoveries that will open new doors into the world of symphonic music. Alongside the cornerstones of the classical repertoire, audiences will hear works by contemporary composers, with a special focus on Latvian music to showcase our cultural diversity and creative spirit. This season, Riga Congress Hall becomes a full-fledged home for LNSO concerts. Composer Pēteris Vasks will serve as composer-in-residence, and cellist Kristīne Blaumane as artist-in-residence for the 100th season.
May this season be filled with sound, emotion, and joy that will inspire many centuries to come.
