The Latvian National Opera, together with Signet Bank, invites everyone to the beloved New Year Gala concerts

From December 27, the Latvian National Opera invites everyone to its beloved New Year Gala concerts, which this year are being held for the first time with the support of Signet Bank. These festive events have become an integral part of the end-of-year tradition, and this time they will delight audiences with an outstanding musical program and a brilliant ensemble of artists.

Under the musical direction of Mārtiņš Ozoliņš and directed by Elita Bukovska, the New Year Gala concert invites everyone to enjoy the most beautiful melodies of the king of operetta, Johann Strauss, in honor of the composer’s 200th anniversary. The concert will feature the leading soloists, choir and orchestra of the Latvian National Opera, creating a truly festive atmosphere and welcoming the New Year with an unforgettable musical experience.

Full of sparkling humor and melodic brilliance, Strauss’ waltzes, polkas, and operetta melodies will bring lightness, joy, and liveliness to the festive atmosphere – just as befits a true New Year’s celebration!

Opera soloists Annija Kristiāna Ādamsone, Inga Šļubovska-Kancēviča, Inna Kločko, Dana Bramane, Jūlija Vasiļjeva, Irma Pavāre, Mārtiņš Šmaukstelis, Raimonds Bramanis, Andris Ludvigs, Rinalds Kandalincevs, Rihards Mačanovskis, Latvian National Ballet soloist Kristaps Jaunžeikars, the Latvian National Opera choir and orchestra conducted by Kaspars Ādamsons or Mārtiņš Ozoliņš. The concert will be hosted by Latvian National Ballet principal soloist Elza Leimane and actor Jānis Grūtups.

The New Year Gala’s concert will be performed seven times between December 27 and January 2. It will be broadcast live on Latvian Radio 3 on December 30 at 19.00., and on January 11, the concert will be shown on LTV1.
