The investment management company Signet Asset Management Latvia of Signet Bank Group, has established an open-ended mutual fund Signet Baltic Bond Fund (hereinafter – the Fund), which is the first fund of its kind in the Baltic region. It aims to provide income to investors by investing in Baltic corporate bonds, while contributing to the development of the region’s capital markets and economies.
The Fund offers the opportunity to start investing from just EUR 100, providing access to the bonds of the most perspective Baltic companies and a diversified bond portfolio. This is an opportunity for both experienced and new investors to broaden their investment strategy while supporting the growth of local companies.
The Fund invests into bonds issued by Baltic companies, credit institutions and commercial companies established, operating or headquartered in Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, as well as those companies whose bonds are issued in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Baltic States.
The Fund offers a number of advantages that make it accessible and sustainable for investors of different profiles. At least 85% of the fund’s assets will be invested in bonds of Baltic issuers, providing a clear regional focus and support for local entrepreneurship. Regular income or coupons from the bonds will be reinvested, contributing to the compound interest effect and providing faster long-term capital growth. The Fund is distinguished by its daily liquidity, or the ability to buy and sell shares in the Fund when needed. It has a simple, transparent structure that makes the fund easy to understand and accessible to a wider range of investors. In addition, the investment objective of the fund is not only to provide returns to its investors, but also to develop the economies and capital markets of the Baltic States by providing funding to accelerate development of companies in the region and creating additional liquidity in the Baltic secondary bond market.
As a result of the development of the Baltic capital market in recent years, we saw an opportunity to create a diversified and liquid fund investing exclusively in this region. The launch of Signet Baltic Bond Fund is a strategic step that reflects Signet Bank’s belief in the potential of the Baltic region and the need to strengthen the local capital market. The fund is also an important development in the context of the Baltic capital market, as it is a unique investment product that offers a structured, accessible and affordable way for everyone to invest in bonds of promising companies, while creating real value for both investors and the region’s economy. Our goal was to create an investment solution that combines stable income with an investment in the long-term development of the region, and also serves as an analogue of the Baltic Bond Market Index.
