Aidan Salakhova (1964)

Aidan Salakhova graduated from the Surikov Art Institute in Moscow in 1987. Salakhova has had over 30 personal exhibitions in Moscow, St. Petersburg, New York, Berlin, Paris, Baku and other cities. In 1990, her works were featured in the Soviet Union’s pavilion for the 44^th Venice Biennale; later, at the 54^th Venice Biennale in 2011, she also represented the Azerbaijan pavilion. In 2008, the artist was nominated for the Kandinsky prize in the Project of the Year category. Her work is currently exhibited at the State Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow Museum of Modern Art, and in a number of private collections.
