Signet Bank customers with Signet Bank Mastercard payment cards can now make everyday payments with Apple Pay – a fast, secure, and private way to pay.
Apple Pay allows you to make purchases in stores, apps and online – without a physical card and without having to enter your card details. Payments are supported by compatible Apple devices – iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad and MacBook devices with Touch ID and Face ID authentication capabilities.
You can make payments both in Latvia and abroad. Apple Pay works everywhere contactless payments are accepted. To pay, simply hold your device near the payment terminal or ATM (in ATMs, you may be asked to enter your PIN).
Apple Pay works on all Apple devices with NFC support: iPhone 6 and newer, Apple Watch, Mac, and iPad (if paired with iPhone or Apple Watch for confirmation).
Yes, Apple Pay is highly secure. The main security mechanism is tokenization. Instead of transmitting your card details, a unique token is generated. During a transaction, only the token is sent — not your card number or CVV. This means your actual card details are never shared with the merchant.
If your card linked to Apple Wallet is lost and blocked, payments with it will not be possible. If your device (e.g., iPhone) with an active card is lost, you should immediately block it via iCloud (Find My iPhone) and contact your bank. On a new device, you will need to add the card again to Apple Wallet.
1. Make sure your device supports NFC and has an active internet connection.
2. Check if your bank supports Apple Pay for your card.
3. If the card still cannot be added, contact your bank or call center at +371 67081100.
No, you need to add the card again via Apple Wallet
